CRAG founder John Hourigan explains how we got to here!

The Carbon Removals Action Group came about because our founder, John Hourigan, in trying to assess and sell his own carbon credits, started a journey of understanding the ways in which we are being denied rights and what we can do about it. Have a watch!

1) The earlier relevant projects are funded by the government so the carbon emission reduction can be accounted in the country GHG emission that is one of the reason that you can not claim the credits as the government pay for it. 2) Even the farmer would like to develop the projects themselves without the government funding scheme, there is no infrastructure in place in Ireland to help developing the accrediting process (no assigned government organisation/regulation) 3) It is even more difficult now as the government states the reduction target in agricultural sector, that means there is no additionality to develop such the crediting projects.
